there comes a time in a woman's life when she no longer feels the irresistible pull of the high street, especially during sale season. the mere thought of venturing there conjures up unpleasant images of calamitous car park queues, strenuous elbowing through a viscous sea of ravenous bodies hunting for bargains, traumatic timescales spent in line for coffee only to get knocked into when the overpriced caffeine water is finally got, spilling the hot lot over hands, sleeves and knees and when she finally feels the need to flee the scene, she is greeted by astronomical car park charges which by now sound celestial due to her sheer desperation to escape. the sacrifice is not worth the potential loot and so she has become disconnected with the shopping experience and ultimately what retailers have to offer.
perhaps she is also jaded by years of exposure to the rehashed, de-souled then churned out throwbacks from days gone by and doubts that anything will set her heart aflutter anymore. bored of boho, sick of skinnies, tasteful tunics leave a bitter residue in her mind.
that's me! so i set myself a challenge; to find a current high street collection that would fill me with enough courage to sustain me through the ordeal of obtaining them, out there, in the wild. and guess what... i found a juicy one: spanish retailer Mango. Here is my 10 piece capsule wardrobe from their summer collection. Best of all? Everything is on sale!!
